Supanova and Shoalhaven South Coast Superheroes announce their ground breaking Pop Culture Charity Partnership
Supanova Expo Pty Ltd, the driving force behind Supanova Comic Con & Gaming, is thrilled to announce it’s charity partnership with Superheroes Events Limited, including Supanova becoming the inaugural naming rights sponsor of the Superheroes Community Care Respite Retreats in New South Wales and interstate.
Through the Shoalhaven Superheroes Festival, Events, and Activities, make the Shoalhaven region the Superheroes Capital of NSW / Australia.
Through Superheroes Community Care and Superheroes Community Care River Retreat, provide short stay accommodation assistance to families with chronically ill kids and/or families requiring benevolent assistance.
Encouraging, recognising, and celebrating volunteerism in the Shoalhaven region – our real Shoalhaven Superheroes!
The Shoalhaven South Coast Superheroes Festival (SSCSF) is a pioneering annual community series of different fundraising events and activities which celebrate pop culture. Superheroes Events Limited (SEL) is a volunteer not-for-profit company, which is the organiser of the SSCSF.
SEL was established in November 2014 with the mission to make the Shoalhaven the Superheroes Capital of NSW / Australia, through the establishment of pop culture events and fictional pop culture POP Worlds.
The first fictional POP World in 2015 was BerryPOP, the Shire of Berry Potter. All SSCSF events and activities held in the Shire of Berry Potter are Harry Potter theme related.
All SSCSF events and activities are fundraising for the Superheroes Community Care Retreats in New South Wales and Western Australia. The Retreats provide short-stay accommodation for families with chronically ill kids and/or families requiring benevolent assistance.
The first SSCSF event, the BerryPOP Pop Culture Charity Expo, was held in December 2014. Since then, the activities have grown to staging events both within and outside the Shoalhaven region. SSCSF pop culture fundraising events past and present include;

To focus on SEL’s growing charitable work, Superheroes Community Care was established in September 2020 ahead of SEL in November 2020 being approved as an ACNC Public Benevolent Institution with DGR1 charity status.
